What Really Matters

Project

Creating illustrations as well as layout of children's books, for the English literature children's book exhibition.

The characters are two twin sisters, Hope and Grace, who are very close. But on their birthday, a small conflict arises that turns into a big loss. Through this story, I wanted to convey the importance of sharing, forgiving, and staying strong despite sad things happening.

I made the visuals simple but still expressive, so that the message can be conveyed without looking too dark.

1 Body 2 Dimensions

Assignment

I drew this comic myself from a story I wrote. The story is about two twin girls, Luna and Solene, who live in the same house but can never live at the same time. One only appears at night, the other during the day.

When I was working on this comic, I focused on the odd and quiet atmosphere. I played a lot with expressions, light, and small details on their bodies that started to change. It's not jumpscare horror, but more of a sense of unease that slowly grows.

Fairy Grunge & Gypsy

Personal

I created this work because I love fashion. I enjoy drawing unique characters, especially people around me. I created this using Clip Studio Paint and designed the background to match the mood.

DOKKAEBI Fairy Tale

Project

I was tasked with illustrating a children's book by an English literature student at my university. I created the illustrations and chose the color tones according to the client's brief, while incorporating my own signature children's book art style. For context, the story features a dokkaebi, a mythical creature from Korean folklore often depicted as mischievous yet kind-hearted. Dokkaebi are known for their playful pranks and their ability to reward those who are kind or punish those who are greedy.

Girls and Boys

Assignment

The illustration represents Blur's song Girls and Boys, which combines upbeat melodies with lyrics about nightlife and freedom. The song captures the energy of partying and freedom but also reflects themes of loneliness and uncertainty in relationships.
